Mercedes-Benz E-Class AMG Line Coupe Review

Now featuring in our list of car reviews is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class AMG Line Coupe review. We’ve been waiting for the arrival of the new Mercedes E-Class coupe, and are happy to say that in most areas, it was well worth the wait. Undoubtedly the most visually appealing of modern coupes on the market, the line coupe is considerably roomier than its rivals, including the highly sought-after BMW 6 Series. What’s more, the vehicle comes fully equipped with high-quality materials and useful features, bringing it head and shoulders above most of the coupe competition out there.

The interior cabin represents a significant improvement on the traditionally-styled 6 series. This has been achieved with a new dramatic dashboard, finished with high-grade aluminium, wood trimming and chrome-finished metal controls. The attention to detail here means that even when adjusting the electronic seats, little details will jump out at you where not expected.

The interior comes equipped with a sleek 8.4 inch infotainment system, which is upgradeable to a 12.3 inch online system. Whilst this is an attractive extra, we were impressed with the versatility and resolution of the standard touch-screen monitor. Another attractive upgrade is in real leather upholstery, however Mercedes’ own Artico man-made leather is robust and nearly an equal in terms of visual appeal.

The generous space in the front of the car is slightly reduced in the back. However, sliding and retractable seats can effectively resolve this issue, whilst the cars impressive boot space allows enough room for a buggy or cases of luggage.

On the roads, the new E-Class AMG Line Coupe simply isn’t as sporty as some of its rivals, including the BMW 6 Series. However, the car’s amazing interior makes up for a handling which is clunky and at times heavy.
